MEDINE ALTIOK / Founding Partner
Medine Altiok is an architect and researcher, who graduated from the AA London in 2000. She runs her own practice in Zurich since 2010 and focuses on inter-cultural projects and social integration in Architecture. She has been teaching at ETH Zurich since 2005 with Momoyo Kaijima (Atelier Bow Wow, Tokyo) and Prof. Felix Claus (Claus en Kaan, Amsterdam) and was Visiting Professsor at BILGI University. In 2006, she initiated Mittelmeerland as a research project to investigate the transformation of the Mediterranean on the territorial scale with the motivation to develop a community perspective. Together with Stephanie Tunka, she was programme director of the Visiting School Mittelmeerland from 2011–2015 at the AA London.






STEPHANIE TUNKA / Founding Partner
Stephanie Tunka graduated in 2001 from TU Braunschweig and joined Mecanoo Architects in Delft. In 2006 she moved to London, where she works as a partner at Foster + Partners. Over 10 years, she worked on various projects dealing with a contextual approach, different urban densities and sustainable developments for waterfronts in Croatia, North Africa, The Netherlands, United Kingdom and others. Her most important projects include Apple Park with 12,000 workplaces, Apple’s global headquarters in Cupertino and the housing strategies for the Masdar Project 01. She taught at TU Delft and the Welsh School of Architecture. Together with Medine Altiok, she was programme director of the Visiting School Mittelmeerland from 2011-2015 at the AA London.
